Andre Berto is an Athlete to Watch in 2010
The first mega fight of 2010 is knocking at our door. The Mosley vs. Berto fight is scheduled to throw two of the best welterweights in the world against each other on 30 January 2010 for a unification world welterweight championship.
For Sugar Shane Mosley, this might just be another run-of-the-mill opportunity to show the world that despite his age (38 years old), he is still just as sweet as he ever was in the ring, especially against a 26 year old.
For Andre Berto, this is the biggest fight of his young life and truly represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to knockout one of boxing’s living legends.
Undefeated in all of his 26 professional fights, this young boxing sensation still has everything to prove. In fact, though much younger than an aging Mosley, Berto is the undisputed underdog in this fight.
But, if this young boxer can repeat some of the magic that he happened against Urango or Collazo, then he might just have what it takes to take down Mosley.
And if he does, he’s definitely be an athlete to watch in 2010, possibly even capable of taking on a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather winner.
